Don't like mud flaps? Same here. The Slim Guard set is a minimalist alternative to oversized flaps, designed specifically for the 08–14 Subaru STI and 11–14 WRX. Each guard is engineered to sit only one inch past the outer fender line, providing just the right amount of coverage to stop rocks, gravel, and road debris from sandblasting your doors and rear quarters. The result is clean protection that looks factory inspired and blends in with the body lines of the car.
Both front and rear guards are CNC cut from ABS that balances durability, flexibility, and weight. The profile is shaped to hug the car tightly for a discreet appearance while still providing functional coverage. The logo is laser etched, guaranteed to not flake or fade over time. Each kit is secured with black-coated, stainless steel button head hardware and clip on nuts so the install feels solid and reliable long term.

Slim Guards FAQ
Does this fit both the WRX and STI? Yes, but designed for the wide body (narrow body is unconfirmed). The Slim Guards fit the 2008-2014 Subaru STI and the 2011-2014 Subaru WRX. Both sedan and hatchback body styles are supported.
Do I need to drill? Yes, installation requires drilling a 6mm or 1/4" hole at each mounting location. All OEM clips and retainers are retained and do not need to be removed. Drill locations are in the wheel-facing part of the fender and would generally not be clearly visible if the guards are removed.
How far do these extend past the fender? One inch to the side, with no bottom extension beyond the side skirt / bumper. The minimalist profile is intentional - these are designed to provide functional coverage without the visual bulk of a traditional mud flap or rally guard. The final result is closer to track-car aero than rally-car flap.
What are they made of? 1/8 inch ABS with black-coated stainless steel M5 button head cap bolts and stainless clip-on nuts. ABS was chosen for its balance of durability, flexibility, and weight.
Do these work with aftermarket side skirts? Yes, the Slim Guards are compatible with OEM side skirts and most aftermarket side skirt setups.
Do I need the Rear Spats too? Not required, but for hatchback models the Rear Spat add-on extends the guard profile back to the OEM diffuser or exhaust finisher, creating a continuous front-to-rear look. The Slim Guards work perfectly as a standalone kit, and the spats can also be installed alone.
